Laurel Burch Collection - Celebrating 50 Years
Laurel Burch (1945–2007) began her career in the 1960s, selling handmade jewellery in San Francisco’s Haight Ashbury neighbourhood. Relying on her intuition and passion, by the 1970s Laurel was an internationally known artist and designer. From her fertile imagination, she created brilliantly coloured, vibrant and moving themes with paint and paper, exquisitely embellished with gold and silver.
Despite her lifelong struggle with a rare bone disease, Laurel lived with extraordinary joy, undiminished gratitude and a contagious positive spirit. Her fantastical imagination, whimsical creatures and the wonders she created in her paintings, jewellery and writings are now part of her legacy.
In 2024 we join the Laurel Burch brand, now run by her children, in celebrating 50 years of Laurel Burch. From a self-taught artist to a pioneering businesswoman at the head of a merchandising empire, Laurel is the embodiment of passion and perseverance. We are honoured to be a brand that Laurel trusted personally with her work, and we continue to share in her entrepreneurial spirit and creative vision.
