Brian Froud’s Faerielands

Brian Froud’s Faerielands

Discover a Magical World

Brian Froud has drawn inspiration from the ancient and gnarled landscapes of the English moorlands to create an unparalleled body of creative work. He is the genius behind Jim Henson’s Labyrinth and The Dark Crystal and is currently involved in creating a Netflix prequel for the latter film.

Puppetry is a family affair in the Froud household. His wife, Wendy Froud, is a famous fantasy dollmaker and their son, Toby, a fellow master puppeteer and creature maker. Brian is an expert on fairies and fairy lore and his work is the inspiration for Faerieworlds, a festival that attracts thousands of fans. His books have sold over eight million copies and his film designs have won many awards. It is a scene from his 2007 work Brian Froud’s World of Faerie that makes for this mischievous cover design.
