A4 - 256 pages. Halfbound black suede with MacDonald
of Glencoe tartan (red with black and yellow stripes). Oxford hollow
back, red headbands inside binding, reinforced board cover. French
joint ensures easy opening. Three interlocking silver triangles
form the Valnott or Key to Valhalla, with a taxidermist's
glass crocodile eye watching from the centre. Parchment inside,
sewn in French style with four reinforcing ribbons. Buff parchment
endpapers. Dedication inside reads:
Dedicated... In the Year of our Lord 1314, patriots
of Scotland, starving and outnumbered, charged the fields of Bannockburn.
They fought like warrior poets. They fought like Scotsmen... And
won their freedom forever...
Those of
the Ėsatru religion who have dedicated their lives to Odin favour
the Valnott. The Valnott or " death knot ", the triple triangle
shown above, is one of Odin's symbols. Odin's followers have a
tendency to die violently.
