Medieval long-stitch binding with visible stitches — glue free
Leather wrap closure, tied with leather thonging

There's a gargoyle on the back of this one - or a dragon, or a dog. Something growly that can sit, anyway. Cotton paper is superior in both strength and durability to wood pulp-based paper. Modern gel ink pens are an ideal match for cotton fibre paper. Cotton fibre paper has been known to last hundreds of years without appreciable fading, discolouration, or deterioration.
